Description

Set of 2 washable sanitary pads in the size of your choice or matching duo pouch.

Like disposable pads, Öko Créations washable sanitary pads have wings. These hold the pad in place thanks to one or more snaps to attached under the underwear. The colorful patterns on the back of our pads are pretty and eye-catching! The fabric in contact with the skin is of natural fiber, undyed and unbleached. This reduces the risk of irritation, allergy and infection. 

Several formats to choose from: 

	The Öko-mini is our lightest model of panty liner. It contains a breathable waterproof film and offers light protection for light losses during or between periods or for additional safety protection when wearing the tampon or menstrual cup.  Made of 2 layers of absorbent hemp and 1 layer of laminated organic cotton, it is so thin and discreet that its presence is barely felt. The wide part is worn in front and prevents the panty liner from slipping in the panties.
	This model of panty liner from Öko creations has been specially designed for use with Tanga-type underwear. Its wide shape at the front and thin at the back is therefore well suited. It offers light protection for light losses during or between periods or for extra protection when wearing a tampon.  Made of 2 layers of absorbent hemp and a thickness of organic cotton, this panty liner is thin and effective.
	The Öko-liner is a washable panty liner comfortable, waterproof and thin.  Composed of 2 layers of quilted hemp and having a breathable waterproof film, it is discreet, while offering perfect protection for a light to medium flow during menstruation or for urinary leakage.
	Öko-pads washable sanitary napkins offer excellent protection for normal to very high flow during menstruation or for urinary leakage. Made of 3 layers of absorbent hemp and a waterproof-breathable film, they are thin, comfortable and efficient.
	This Öko creations sanitary napkin is our largest model of napkin with integrated breathable waterproof film. It is therefore completely waterproof and offers maximum protection for an abundant flow during menstruation or for urinary leakage.  Made of 3 layers of absorbent hemp, it nevertheless remains thin, comfortable and efficient. The Öko creations long towel has 2 pairs of wings for better support day and night.
Duo Pouch	This Öko Créations double carry pouch is designed for carrying wet or soiled items when you are away from home. Whether it's for a sanitary napkin that you need to change, a saturated nursing pad, a tissue, wipedirty washcloths or towels, the pouch makes sure you carry everything hygienically until you get home thanks to its breathable waterproof fabric inside. The 2 sections of this pouch make it possible to separate clean items from soiled ones. The pocket closes with a press stud. Size: 16 x 15 cm

Features

How to install them?

They attach to the back of the underwear using press studs.
The wider part towards the front.
The button is very thin for greater comfort.

How should they be washed?

Don't forget to wash your Öko-Pads before first use.

If you're going out, fold up your soiled Öko-pads, and put them in your duo pouch. Once at home, take them out of the pouch right away.
There's several techniques to wash them:

The sloth technique:

Put your soiled Öko-pads in a bucket or breathable bag.  When you're ready to wash them, put them in the machine for a short cycle in cold water, with laundry soap and (optional) sodium percarbonate (chlorine-free stain remover, maximum 2 tbsp).   Then do a 2nd regular load in cold water to which you can add other laundry items.  To dry your Öko-pads, you can put them in the dryer or hang them out (the sun is an excellent whitener and antibacterial).  Finally, store them in a clean, dry place.  It's that simple! 

How can I avoid stains?

The natural color and ecological textiles of the Öko-pads ensure high sanitary quality.  On the other hand, an undyed fabric can stain easily.  Here is a method that will reduce stains:

Madame Blancheville's technique:

Soak your used towels in cold water and add sodium percarbonate (maximum 2 tbsp per 4 liters of water) and/or laundry soap.  Soaking for at least 1 hour will greatly reduce staining.  You can also leave a bucket of soapy water in the bathroom during your period.  Put all your Öko-pads in it.  You should change the water at least once a day.  After a maximum of 2 days, wring out your Öko-pads and put them in the machine for a regular cycle in cold water. 

Here are some other little things to know:

• Add an extra rinse if you are very sensitive to irritation.
• Hot water causes blood to clot and stick to textiles.  Always use cold or lukewarm water.
• Your Öko-pads will be more absorbent after a few washes!
• Never use bleach or fabric softener, these products are irritating to the skin and reduce the effectiveness and life of the Öko-pads.
